CONTROL4 DRIVER FOR THE AVCI RANGE OF IP POWER SWITCHES
The driver enables each of the switchable outlets to be connected to a Control4 relay device for control on the UI.
There are also device specific commands that allow you to power cycle an outlet.
You can use ping functions on the switch to monitor the health of IP equipment.
NOTE: Load amp variables are only populated if the attached switch supports load monitoring.
----------------------------------
BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS
- Set the AVCI switch to a static IP address or ensure it always receives the same IP address from the DHCP server via a MAC based reservation.
- Enter the IP address of the AVCI switch into the Properties tab
- Set the port number that the AVCI switch web server is running on.
- Set the username and password you assigned to the switch
- Set the interval time you want between Control4 polling for the status of the switch.
- Set the character your locale uses for the decimal character. So if you use 0.3 set this to . However if you use 0,3 then set this to , If this is set incorrectly then the power readings will not populate.
- Make connections from the driver to Control4 relay devices. Note the driver has outputs for all 8 potential outputs. If your physical device has less than 8 outputs only use the first set of outputs on the driver up to the number of physical outputs on your switch.
- Activate the driver either with a demo code or with the license you purchased from our website.
- If you have installed the optional temperature and humidity sensor then you can use these properties to set maximum values for these measurements. Events will be fired if the measurements exceed those you set.
