All rights reserved.8/13/2009 10:21:00 AM10/13/2009 1:00:00 PMdvddvd51010TrueControl4 certified on 12/19/2011 for software released versions: 2.0.6, 2.1.1 Driver Functional Description The Mozaex Control4 Driver allows you to control any and all models of the Mozaex Entertainment Server product line (ie: ShowStar, Player/Server, Solo) on-screen TV GUI Menu to browse and play all media with a 1 way interface plus allows you to select music from the Control 4's own music database and play that music via the Control 4 music player via its controller. - Mozaex TV GUI 1 Way Movies/Photos/Online Control - Use the C4 remote or Touch Panel like the Mozaex handheld remote to control all on-screen functions including movies, music, photos, online NetPlay media and iTunes media. - C4 2 Way Music Control - C4's controller imports music metadata and cover art into its own database and you can then play that music via the C4 controller. You can configure the Driver to automatically select your TVs audio/video inputs to either select the Mozaex TV GUI video to be displayed to for example control the playback of movies or the Control4's video and audio to for example, control and play music via the TVs speakers. Mozaex Server Description The Mozaex Entertainment Server plays loaded movies, music and photos plus downloaded iTunes movies/music and over 200 online channels of media including NetFlix and Pandora. You can play both DVD and Blu-ray discs plus loaded movies that have been loaded using the Mozaex movie loader. Loaded movies are typically in the .ISO format. In addition, while its compatibility may vary depending on the video format, the Mozaex Server can normally play the following other video formats including: .avi, .mpeg, .mpg, .vob, .mp4, .wmv, .mov, .mkv. Both CD discs and loaded MP3 music plus loaded JPEG photos may also be played. The NetPlay utility allows you to play over 200 online channels of media including NetFlix and the iPlay utility allows you to play iTunes movies and music that is stored on your networked iTunes PC and/or Macs. Mozaex Server Setup Refer to the Mozaex web site www.mozaex.com and the Mozaex Admin and User Guides for additional details on setting up the Mozaex Server plus details on the systems specifications and product support. The Mozaex Server should be configured with static IP addresses. To configure the IP login to the Admin Console by pressing CNTRL - ALT - A. Use the following passwords to login into the Admin console of the Player/Solo or ShowStar: Player or Solo: Name: admin Password: mmaxpass ShowStar: Name: admin Password: moz123yah Manual Static IP address setup - Click on the Net connection button in the Server Admin Console. - The Network and Sharing Center will appear. Click on Local Area Connection and select Properties. - Highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties. - Select the Use the following IP address option. Enter a valid IP address, subnet mask address and the gateway address of any router that is located between the Server and the internet. - Optionally select the Advanced button and set any DNS server settings if you have an internet service provider with a DNS IP address. - Exit out of the Internet Protocol Properties window using the OK button. - Cycle the server power off then power on to reboot the Server. Mozaex C4 Driver installation - Driver Name: Mozaex Driverworks IP Semi 2-way v.1 In your Composer project, select the System Design tab located on the left side on the screen, the drivers selections can be located on the right hand side of the screen, the Mozaex unit version 1, select the Search Tab, and select Local Database radio button, the driver is created as a DVD player, Select the Device Type; DVD, then the Manufacturer: Mozaex, the Driver select and drag it into to your project, to the room you want it in, or select the room, and double click on the driver. Once the driver has been installed into the project, you must identify the driver's and type the IP Address of your device; this can be in the following steps. - Select the Connections Tab, from the right hand side of your screen, and then select the Network tab, just below the file menu. Refer to the following illustration. - Double click on the DVD player in the middle window, to bring up the identification window; this is where you will type in the IP address of the Mozaex Player, Solo or ShowStar unit that you want to control. The following steps are for the audio and video connections, Control4 automatic switching of TV inputs, as well as information on scanning any audio media files onto the Control4 controller. - Select the Connection Tab, and the Control A/V Tab, located below the File menu. From the project tree select the Mozaex Media Deck, DVD device you added in the previous steps. - Select the Audio, and Video Connections located in the middle of the screen, and drag the desired connections down to the appropriate devices they are physically connected to. The next steps are required for audio file selection through the Control4 interface. - Select the System Design tab located on the left side on the screen, then select My Drivers, on the right hand side of the screen, at the bottom of the available device list select the storage folder, and select the Network file Storage device, ether drag it to a room, or select the room from the project list to the right of your screen you wish it to be added, and located in, then double click the Network file Storage device. In order to access the Mozaex unit's audio files, you must provide a connection to the device through the network connections. The easiest way to do this is to use windows explore, and locate the correct file folder. - In Windows, right click on the start button, and select Explore, in the address bar type the IP Address preceded by the following \\, then press enter/return, you should see the devices available folders, select the appropriate drive, and folders, that the music is located in. In the address bar is the path you'll need to copy for the location Composer requires for the network connection. - Paste the path into the location bar in Composer, and select connect. After this, you must scan the available audio files in the network location, in order for the Control4 Navigator to access the Music Media. - In Composer select the Media Tab located in the right hand side of the screen. - Select the Network File Storage Device, and the Audio Media selection provided, and then press the scan button located on the right hand side of the screen below the Maximize, Minimize buttons. After all these previous steps are followed, the only thing left to do is to select "File Refresh Navigators" from the Composer File menu.
