For the installation guide, go to http://triadspkrs.co/8zamp-ig ################################################################################## Driver setup and properties ################################################################################## Driver Version This field displays the current driver version number. Zone Output/Linked Input Settings This section identifies whether an amplifier output/zone is linked to a zone input or the global input. By default, each amplifier output/zone is linked one-to-one with its respective zone input. For example, whatever is connected to Zone Input 2 will output on Zone Output 2. However, each amplifier output can be linked instead to Global In. For more information, see the “Global In/Zone Input 1” section below. Debug Mode This section enables varying levels of logging for the Triad 8-Zone Power Amplifier. ################################################################################## Power Off Delay Timer ################################################################################## A power off delay timer exists which will keep the device on for the number of seconds set in the properties page, after the device is told to turn off when using a relay for power control. Use this setting if the end of announcements or other media is getting cut off due to the amp getting turned off too soon. This value is in seconds. ################################################################################## Bindings (Connections) ################################################################################## Using Composer, click on the connections tab in the left pane, then select the Triad 8-Zone Power Amplifier driver in the project in which bindings will be set up. 1. Bind the inputs of the 8-Zone Power Amplifier to the outputs of an Audio Matrix Switch (AMS), or other device, which produces audio. 2. If using the 12V trigger output of a Triad AMS to wake up the amplifier, bind the 12V Trigger In of the 8-Zone Power Amplifier to the 12V Trigger Out of the Triad AMS. Also, ensure the physical Power Mode switch on the 8-Zone Power Amplifier is in the 12V position. 3. Bind the Audio End Point of rooms in the project to the Room End Points on the 8-Zone Power Amplifier. 4. Bind the Audio Volume of rooms in the project to the Audio Volume control of the AMS, or other device, which produces audio. Note: If you do not bind the Audio Volume to the AMS or device producing the audio you will not have volume control. ################################################################################## Using a Control4 Controller or I/O Extender Relay For Power Control ################################################################################## A relay from a Control4 controller or I/O extender can be used to power on the amplifier. The relay will close when the amplifier needs to be turned on, and this will trigger the amplifier to power up. 1. Connect the signal wire (tip of the 3.5mm connector connected to the amplifier) to the NO of a relay block on a Control4 controller or I/O extender. 2. Connect the ground (sleeve of the 3.5mm connector connected to the amplifier) to the GND of a contact block of the controller or I/O extender. 3. Connect the +12V of a contact block to the COM of a relay block on the controller or I/O extender. * Note : You must have the Power Mode switch set to 12V setting. * Note : Do not bind or wire, multiple amplifiers to a single relay. Doing this will cause both amplifiers to turn on and off at the same time, regardless of what zones are in use. For further information regarding using a Controller or I/O extender relay for power control, view this knowledgebase article - ctrl4.co/12vtrigger ################################################################################## Audio 1/ Global Input ################################################################################## The Global Input connection on the Triad 4-Zone Power Amplifier is shared with Zone Input 1. If the global input needs to be linked to any amplifier output other than Zone Output 1, you must physically toggle the “Link To Global Input” dipswitch for each amplifier output. If you wish to have all amplifier outputs connected to the global input, you can flip on (up position) the “All” dipswitch. Once the dipswitch settings have been completed, set each input that is assigned to the global input as “Global In” in the driver properties. Otherwise leave the input set to the Zone Input. Prior driver versions had a serperate Global Input. This connection has been hidden (but still valid for existing installs). Rebind the prior device's binding to the Audio 1/ Global Input or remove and readd to driver if needed to adjust prior bindings to the Global Input. == Driver Version == STRING ========== Driver Version ========== true Version STRING True 14 Power Off Delay Time (seconds) RANGED_INTEGER False 10 0 255 == Zone Output == STRING ====== Linked Input Settings ====== true Audio 1/ Global Input LIST False Zone Input Zone Input Global Input Zone 2 LIST False Zone Input Zone Input Global Input Zone 3 LIST False Zone Input Zone Input Global Input Zone 4 LIST False Zone Input Zone Input Global Input Zone 5 LIST False Zone Input Zone Input Global Input Zone 6 LIST False Zone Input Zone Input Global Input Zone 7 LIST False Zone Input Zone Input Global Input Zone 8 LIST False Zone Input Zone Input Global Input == Debug == STRING ========== Debug ========== true Debug Mode LIST False Off Off Print Log Print and Log
