It is a two way driver - any changes made on the unit in terms of volume etc will be fed back onto the Control4 UI. The integration requires a F-F Serial connection. ---------------------------------- BRIEF INSTRUCTIONS - Perform your initial set up of the cinema receiver using the Arcam IR remote. - In the General Setup menu option ensure that 'Control' is set to RS232. - Make the physical serial connection between the AVR and the Control4 system. - Ensure that the AVR is powered ON and not in Standby. - Make the serial binding in Connections. - If your physical connection and set up is correct you will then see the version numbers of the unit displayed on Properties. - Make your AV connections to the AVR in Composer. - Refresh your Navigators. ---------------------------------- PROPERTIES You should not normally need to adjust any of these settings. - Debug Mode - this will provide diagnostic printing on the Lua tab - Power On Delay - this is the number of seconds after the unit is powered on the driver should wait before sending the next command in seconds. - Command Delay - this is the delay between each command sent to the AVR in milliseconds. - Set Input Command Delay - this is the delay after a new input has been selected before the next command is sent in milliseconds. - Volume Ramp Delay - this is the delay between each volume up or down in milliseconds and can be changed to vary the speed of volume ramping. ---------------------------------- IMPORTANT NOTES - Network player, USB and Internet Radio functions -- These are designed to be used with the Arcam OSD. You cannot select music directly from the Control4 UIs. - Zone 2 -- Note that the SAT, VCR and DISPLAY inputs are not available to Zone 2 even though the driver shows that they are. This is because the AVR cannot downmix the digital inputs to analog. You should hide these devices in the Zone 2 room in Navigator. -- If you are using Zone 2 you must make physical analog video and audio connections to the AVR. The AVR does not down convert audio or video. - Tuner -- The tuner does not support direct frequency selection. Presets are supported and if you want to use Control4 Media Favorites you must store the required station in the AVR presets. Then use the preset number as the channel number when defining the favorite. -- There is only one tuner in the receiver. You cannot listen to different tuners in the main and Zone 2 rooms. - ARC (DISPLAY) --To use the ARC on the HDMI output you must make a connection in Composer between your TV and the DISPLAY optical input on the driver. This connection does not physically exist on the AVR and you do not need to run a cable for this. The connection in Composer enables Director to see a route for the audio from the TV to the Receiver. Most TV drivers will have an optical OUT connection. If not then you will need to edit the TV driver to add one. ---------------------------------- CUSTOM COMMANDS Various commands that do not have direct Control4 equivalents are available in Custom Programming. ---------------------------------- SUPPORT For support on this driver please create a helpdesk ticket at www.extravegetables.com/helpdesk. Please give a detailed description of the problem. Please also include the version number of the driver and the version of Control4 OS that you are using. ---------------------------------- CHANGELOG 1.0.1 - October 2013 Fixes an issue with DAB not being selected correctly. 1.0.0 - June 2013 Intial release 5001 6 Receiver 2 False False False False RECEIVER 5005 6 DABTUNER 2 False False False False TUNERXM 5008 6 INTERNET RADIO 2 False False False False MEDIA_PLAYER 5009 6 MEDIA SERVER 2 False False False False MEDIA_PLAYER 5011 6 USB 2 False False False False MEDIA_PLAYER 5012 6 ANALOG RADIO 2 False False False False TUNER 1 6 Serial RS-232 1 True False False True RS_232 4000 6 Output 6 False True False True SPEAKER STEREO 2000 6 Output 5 False False True True HDMI 7000 6 Room Selection - Output 7 False True True True AUDIO_SELECTION AUDIO_VOLUME VIDEO_SELECTION 4001 6 Zone2 Output 6 False True False True STEREO SPEAKER 2001 6 Zone2 Output 5 False False True True COMPOSITE 7001 6 Room Selection - Zone2 Output 7 False True True True AUDIO_SELECTION AUDIO_VOLUME VIDEO_SELECTION 3004 6 FM Antenna 6 True False False True RF_FM 3014 6 DAB Antenna 6 True False False True RF_SIRIUS 3005 6 INPUT AV 6 True False False True STEREO DIGITAL_OPTICAL 1005 6 INPUT AV 5 True False False True COMPONENT HDMI COMPOSITE 3006 6 INPUT SAT 6 True False False True DIGITAL_COAX 1006 6 INPUT SAT 5 True False False True COMPONENT COMPOSITE HDMI 3007 6 INPUT BD 6 True False False True STEREO DIGITAL_COAX 1007 6 INPUT BD 5 True False False True COMPONENT HDMI COMPOSITE 3008 6 INPUT VCR 6 True False False True DIGITAL_COAX --> 1008 6 INPUT VCR 5 True False False True COMPONENT COMPOSITE HDMI 3009 6 INPUT PVR 6 True False False True STEREO DIGITAL_COAX 1009 6 INPUT PVR 5 True False False True COMPONENT COMPOSITE HDMI 3010 6 INPUT CD 6 True False False True STEREO DIGITAL_COAX 1010 6 INPUT CD 5 True False False True COMPONENT COMPOSITE HDMI 3011 6 INPUT AUX 6 True False False True STEREO DIGITAL_OPTICAL 1011 6 INPUT AUX 5 True False False True COMPOSITE COMPONENT HDMI 3012 6 INPUT STB 6 True False False True STEREO DIGITAL_OPTICAL 1012 6 INPUT STB 5 True False False True COMPONENT HDMI COMPOSITE 3013 6 INPUT GAME 6 True False False True STEREO 1013 6 INPUT GAME 5 True False False True COMPONENT COMPOSITE HDMI 3050 6 DISPLAY 6 True False False True DIGITAL_OPTICAL 4021 6 DABTUNER Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 6 False True False True 6 True SPEAKER True STEREO True 3022 6 DABTUNER 6 True False False True 6 True SPEAKER True STEREO True 2021 6 DABTUNER Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 5 False False True True 7 True COMPONENT True COMPOSITE True SVIDEO True 1022 6 DABTUNER 5 True False False True 7 True COMPONENT True COMPOSITE True SVIDEO True 4027 6 INTERNET RADIO Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 6 False True False True 12 True STEREO True 3028 6 INTERNET RADIO 6 True False False True 12 True STEREO True 2027 6 INTERNET RADIO Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 5 False False True True 13 True COMPONENT True COMPOSITE True SVIDEO True HDMI True 1028 6 INTERNET RADIO 5 True False False True 13 True COMPONENT True COMPOSITE True SVIDEO True HDMI True 4029 6 MEDIA SERVER Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 6 False True False True 14 True STEREO True 3030 6 MEDIA SERVER 6 True False False True 14 True STEREO True 2029 6 MEDIA SERVER Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 5 False False True True 15 True COMPONENT True COMPOSITE True SVIDEO True HDMI True 1030 6 MEDIA SERVER 5 True False False True 15 True COMPONENT True COMPOSITE True SVIDEO True HDMI True 4033 6 USB Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 6 False True False True 18 True STEREO True 3034 6 USB 6 True False False True 18 True STEREO True 2033 6 USB Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 5 False False True True 19 True COMPONENT True COMPOSITE True SVIDEO True HDMI True 1034 6 USB 5 True False False True 19 True COMPONENT True COMPOSITE True SVIDEO True HDMI True 4035 6 ANALOG RADIO Proxy Output To RECEIVER [REQUIRED] 6 False True False True 20 True STEREO True 3036 6 ANALOG RADIO 6 True False False True 20 True STEREO True
