Press and hold DIMMER and ZONE2 ON/OFF buttons on the AVR front panel for more than 3 seconds
Control4 certified on 6/13/2018 for software released version: 2.10.2
This driver supports both Serial and IP control. It will only maintain one valid control connection at a time; if both RS-232 is bound AND the IP connection is configured, the LAST connection will take precedence.
Note: Disconnect the connection of the interface not to use.
RECEIVER CONFIGURATION:
Follow the instructions in the Receiver User Manual for Setup. Ensure that:
- Network Control is set to "Always ON" (for IP control)
- HDMI Control is set to "OFF"
- Network cable is plugged into the receiver
COMPOSER CONFIGURATION:
Please set up according to the following.
1. IP (OS Version 2.3.0 or newer)
Add the discovered receiver to your project:
1) Click the desired location in the project in the System Design > System pane of Composer
2) Find the receiver in the System Design > Items > Discovered tab
3) Double-click on your receiver from the list of devices showing under the "Discovered" tab
If you have more than one discovered receiver of the same model, follow these steps to add them into the right location in the project:
1) In Composer in the System Design > Items > Discovered tab, find the receivers
2) Press and hold DIMMER and ZONE2 ON/OFF buttons on the AVR front panel for more than 3 seconds to identify specific AVR to add to the project
3) In the Discovered tab, the identified receiver will be highlighted in YELLOW
4) Double-click on the highlighted receiver from the list of devices showing under the "Discovered" tab
5) Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each additional receiver
2. IP (OS Version 2.2.x or older)
Manually add the receiver to your project and enter IP Address of the receiver into Composer:
1) Manually add the driver to the project from the Online Database within the Search tab.
2) On the Composer/Connections/Network Tab, enter the IP Address of the Receiver.
3) Close the Identify window.
4) Go to System Design and verify that the receiver is connected to Director by looking at the "Connected To Network" property on the Driver Properties page. It should be true.
Note: It might be false for a short periods after the setting change of the network.
3. Serial
Manually add the receiver to your project and set up the RS-232 connection:
1) Manually add the driver to the project from the Online Database within the Search tab.
2) Bind the receiver's RS-232 control input from within Connections > Control/AV > Control Inputs to the appropriate controller or I/O extender RS-232 port.
RECEIVER SOURCES:
Not all sources are available on all models. Sources that are not available can be hidden from Navigator using the "Device Visibility and Display Order" dialog in Composer. This dialog can be accessed via the "Modify" button found on the "Navigator" tab in the room's "Properties" pane.
BUTTON ASSIGNMENT SUPPLEMENTATION:
In Receiver, the following commands are assigned to some Control4 Remote Control buttons.
- GUIDE : OPTION (The same functionality as AVR remote control button)
In HD Radio or Tuner(Analog Tuner model), the following commands are assigned to some Control4 Remote Control buttons.
- SCAN FWD(>>) : Tuning mode(Toggle)
- SCAN REV(<<) : Band(Toggle)
- GUIDE : OPTION (The same functionality as AVR remote control button)
In Online Music, iPod/USB and Bluetooth, the following commands are assigned to some Control4 Remote Control buttons.
- GUIDE : OPTION (The same functionality as AVR remote control button)
DRIVER SPECIFIC COMMANDS:
Use Custom Buttons and Composer Programming for customers who would like to access these commands.
Note: Not all commands are available on this model.

Command Delay-Milliseconds:
Specify how many milliseconds to wait before sending the next command. You should not have to edit this.
Set Input Command Delay-Milliseconds:
Specify how many milliseconds to wait before sending the next command after sending an input change command. You should not have to edit this.
Volume Ramp Delay-Milliseconds:
Specify how many milliseconds to wait before the driver starts performing the volume ramp up or down function when volume buttons are pressed by the user. You should not have to edit this.
+------------------------------------------------------------------------------+
Power Status:Displays the current power status of the receiver either STANDBY or ON.
Send Command:Allows several commands to be sent directly to the receiver from the driver over the IP network including:
Connect: Force the driver to attempt to connect to the receiver.
Disconnect: Force the driver to attempt to disconnect from the receiver.
TurnAVROn: Send the Main zone power on command.
TurnAVROff: Send the power standby command.
GetVersionInfo: Requests all firmware version information from the receiver and displays it below.
CheckForUpdate: Sends a request to the Update Server over the Internet to compare firmware versions. The results of this query will appear in the UPDATE/UPGRADE AVAILABLE area. The receiver must be ON to perform this function.
StartUpdate: Sends a request to the Update Server over the Internet to begin the firmware update process. The receiver must be ON to perform this function. DO NOT PERFORM ANY OTHER FUNCTIONS OR REMOVE POWER DURING AN UPDATE!
